Shoot number 2

We are shooting one of the scenes in the boiler room beneath some offices belonging to Emma's Dad. The location was ideal for the atmosphere we are trying to create for the room where Grace is held hostage. The shoot took place on Saturday the 9th November at 10 am when everybody was available. There was no sound required for this scene so instead I took up the role of lighting. The following are the positions taken up by each member of the team on the day.

Everybody performed really well on the day and everybody completed their roles. The behind the scenes filming of the makeup however I had to do myself, as Saqib who was responsible for the behind the scenes filming that day was delayed in arriving by half an hour. The makeup takes a considerable amount of time and could not be delayed so I had to film it there and then without Saqib.

Pre - shoot

When we arrived at the offices early that morning the boiler room was in not fit state for filming in, there were various items that had to be removed from the room such as pieces of wood, a trolly and exercise equipment before filming could commence. This took slightly longer than we had hoped there was only myself and Emma there initially to help prepare the room for filming. However by the time we were ready to set up all the equipment everybody was present and willing to help.

During shoot

During the shoot there were no problems that could not be quickley and easily solved. We managed to keep to schedule which was very important as we all had commitment that afternoon. As this was just a morning shoot we did not need to take as many breaks as we would had it been a full day shoot like we have done in the past however we did make time for a break between shooting the footage and the photoshoot for the poster and publicity.

Post shoot

After the shoot once again the graded rushes were created to give us an idea of how the shots will look in the trailer when completed.
