Explosions

From conducting our research into the conventions of film trailers, we noticed that they all include an array of shots from different scenes in the feature film. In order to make our trailer as true to a genuine film trailer as possible Emma has contacted some people she has worked with previously who will be able to give our trailer the edge it needs to stand out. We hope to include a series of explosions, a helicopter and some fire engines in our trailer to create the atmosphere of a real action packed thriller. as ordinarily these would be fairly expensive to hire we are able use these resources for free in return for making promotional films for the companies.

Fire engines

Emma has been a regular visitor to the local fire station as she helps out with the local beavers group. By visiting she found out that the firemen and women were very eager to help the community as much as possible. With this in mind Emma decided to ask if they would possibly consider taking one of the fire engines out one day to feature in our trailer. Including full siren's and lights to make it appear as true t real life as possible. They said they were quite happy to do this which will be a great benefit to us as it will really give our trailer the edge we are looking for later on in the trailer.

Helicopters

Our lead character Grace is kidnapped by the government. Emma said that she already had an offer from a heli-school to film there. This presented a perfect opportunity for us as we decided we could use this filming opportunity to film some scenes actually inside the helicopter during flight as government agencies would most likely use helicopters such as this we thought it would make the trailer even more true to life if we were able to actually film it in a real helicopter.
The location for this shoot will be Barton air school.

Explosions

Having a scout on our production team has proved a huge benefit as she has been able to put us in contact with many professionals that we would not otherwise be able to make connections with. One of these is a professional in armories including canons and rifles. The contact who holds the license for these (Ted Lewis) makes explosions for professional film companies and also does professional reenactments. On Monday the 24th November myself and Emma are going up to Ted's property to test out some of the explosives and plan out how they are going work out with the shots we have planned and also make sure all the health and safety regulations are met to make sure our actors and crew are completely safe.
