Public Relations

Written by Tom Bailey

Public relations and social networking. Public relations or PR are very important in film production especially in terms of promotion of the film and trailer. The producers of a film will want to make sure the film is seen by as many people as possible. This can be a necessity in promoting their own work and gaining funding for future projects. I modern day society, the most common way of promoting
a film is through the internet on social networks etc. As they are widely used ans also free making this method very cost effective. Social networks such as twitter and Facebook are also useful in posting updates on the film such as release dates and previews etc, little things that will maintain public interest and persuade them to watch the film when it is released. Emma has made an e-mail address for the film (fallengrace@outlook.com). so that the public have an information source for any queries they have about the film. This will also be used on our website allowing us to launch competitions relating to the film and giving it promotion. The email will also be essential in setting up social network pages that will also promote
the film.

A Facebook page has also been made as another form of social media to promote the film. This will enable people to like the page to have promotions of the film streamed to their live feed.

Creating a twitter feed

Emma made a twitter account for our production under the name @FallenGracefilm which can be used to post updates about the film and promote it. This twitter feed can also be fed live to the fallen Grace website.
